Root Root via Master Key vulnerability

I remember reading that all versions of Android up to Android 4.4.4 are affected by the Master Key vulnerability, and I know that a lot of phones can be rooted by exploiting that security hole. And I know of a program called Cydia Impactor that roots devices by exploiting it.

Has anyone tried this method to root the B12 and B13 firmware of this phone?

I haven't, because I haven't installed the updates, but I know the master key exploit didn't work to root the b06 build.
