Root root WITHOUT charger port?

My wife wants me to root her phone. Can I root it without using the charger port because hers is broken and sprint wants $100 to fix it!! If so, where do I get the files to do it? Thanks!

Unfortunately, Revolutionary requires that the phone be connected to a computer via the charging port. There is no way to root it (at this time) without the port intact.
