Root Root, yes. But what about ROMs?

TheAtheistReverend

Anybody want a peanut?
I understand we can root, and not ever likely going to unlock the bootloader.
I see TWRP is available, and ROMs are being released.
So, how is TWRP used for this phone? I thought we needed to unlock the bootloader to flash custom recoveries and therefore ROMs.

Well bootloaders are not locked on "global" SM-G920F models. So we can custom recovery and flash .zips all we want, however I have gone nearly a month without rooting mine yet. This is unheard of for me, most new phones are rooted in a matter of 48 hours. I have yet to feel the need to do so, and I like my banking and other apps working that don't with root. (Root cloak never worked from Xposed for me).
