Are you able to root ZTE Warp 7 from Boost? I was reading that you could root but not with superuser ect. Is this true?

That looks to be the case. The development forums for this device are pretty much non existent.

Personally I wouldn't root a device like this unless I could afford to replace it. No custom recovery, and not sure you can even flash factory firmware for the device. A lot to consider if there's no way to recover in the event something goes wrong.
