Root Root?

They are making progress at rootzwiki. Half root. Not sure if that's a thing.
Androidcentral has made progress as well. Still not there yet. I'm curious if the LG Nitro one click root will work, or can be tweaked to work.

Is this really a problem with brand-new phones before connecting and updating? Is there any way to root just as you turn it on? Damn but sometimes you just can't help hating manufacturers.

I talked to a rep at LG yesterday. They said they make the phone to the providers specifications. Which I'm pretty sure is a lie. I asked about rooting, they told me to ask my service provider. When I asked to talk to LG's android development team, she gave me the number for Google.

LOL! You are persistent! Maybe you should have asked for the Optimus dev team? Or is she saying that Google is responsible for that c**p? My hubby really likes this phone but without root I don't think it's worth it.

She was saying Verizon was responsible. I guess all of the carriers wanted 2.3.5 to patch the root exploits. I like this phone too, but without root. I might be returning for the HTC Rezound.
