Hello ravens. Welcome to these forums. If I were you, I'd check into the root area for your phone and ask there. The users there know your phone well and know the root process well. They will be best suited to assist/advise you in this process and using your tablet instead of a PC. Best of luck to you. Below is a link to the list of phone areas here at Android Forums.
