If you don't know how to root it, how do you know THAT you want to root it? (Rooting voids the warranty, among other things.)

And not only that, the ways to root an android device are almost as varied as the amount of android devices there are.

You could do a search through the various sections here at this site and find the one that is for your exact Motorola model. And in each section, there is an "All things Root" section which should help you out.
