Help Rooted Android 2.1 X10a App2Sd Question

So I bought this phone a few days ago,the first thing I did was update it from 1.6-2.1.(Rogers)

Then I used Z4root(one click),and installed busy box which told me the phone was 100% rooted and super user. Im also using SetCpu. I dont have any special Rom installed yet cause Im not sure whats going to be beneficial to me without loosing any features in the phone.
Ill take some help on that to :)

I backed up all the apps to my sd card with Astro.
From what I read the App2Sd is only for Foroyo.

Im having a hard time finding info on the net about running the apps from the Sd,Do I need to partition my memory card,or do anything through Dos ?

After the phone was rooted I also had around 400-500 Mb of internal storage for apps.

Firmware Version
2.1-Update1

Baseband version 2.0.46

Kernel version
2.6.29

Semcuser@SemcHost #1

Build number
2.0.A.0.504

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know you don't need that app2sd...I think that is only for 2.2.

One of the problems for 2.2, from what I understand, is that it runs 2.2 from the SDcard and it thinks that the sd card is the memory....maybe I am completely wrong

But my real question is why you want to use app2sd. Some of the apps I have downloaded appear to install on the SD...not on the internal memory. Some phones like my buddies Galaxy only installs apps on the internal and don't allow you to install apps on the SD card unless they download that app2sd app.

If you are looking to clear space on the internal memory, I suggest, since you already rooted, you might just want to make that last extra step and install a custom rom/image.

Here is what I did - http://androidforums.com/x10-all-th...-x10-setting-up-boot-loader-custom-theme.html

Not sure why you want to keep your internal memory usage so low...300mb or lower seems good enough to me.

I was at 2.1 as well, but now I am running -

Firmware version 2.0.2.A.0.24
Baseband version 2.0.46
Kernel version 2.6.29
Build number X10 Eminence v1.2

So much quicker...just reading through the forums you can read about other people who have run benchmarks that show it's speed increase from the regular 2.1...
