Root Rooted but CAN'T move to sd?

Literally can not find a single post about this.

I rooted my desire using unrevoked3, everything seemed to go fine, I have a Superuser Permissions icon in my app drawer.

However, when I go to details of apps that are generally phone only, the 'Move app to sd' button is greyed out as usual.

Any help appreciated. Is it because I need to install a custom rom which has support for a2sd+?

Step 1 partition your SD card

Step 2 flash an a2sd Rom

Step 3 don't touch that 'move' button
