Root Rooted but no root access?

I have a Galaxy S II LTE (Skyrocket) SGH-I727R and I followed this guide to root it:
[MOD] ROOT | CWM | ODIN | SGH-I727 and SGH-I727R Skyrocket - xda-developers
I followed everything to the letter and everything went smoothly. I have the superuser app in the app drawer, but I don't have root access (I verified that I don't have root access by running root checker) I checked the android version and it is still 4.0.4 (looks like it's still the official build). What did I do wrong?

Reflash super user and su zip.

Thanks, I ended up reflashing it with the latest version of superuser and that did the trick.
