Root Rooted but now no Wifi - Even after restore

Hi guys,
Need some help and advice.
Rooted my phone the otherday for the first time. Followed all the advice on here and XDA. And everything has worked fine. Only problem is my wifi

I am using the latest CM7 and Radio Rom but my wifi wont connect. Just keeps on trying to connect all the time. It worked when i first flashed but probably only for a day or so. Tried rebooting, re-flashing but nothing.

I have tried other Roms and the same happens. I have even restored to my original HTC setup but i have no wifi with that either.

Has anyone got any ideas how i could resolve this.

Thanks in advance.....

Did you change the radio with the CM7 rom? If you did, try flashing another one that maybe where the problem is.

No its a UK Tmobile.

I installed the latest Radio that CM7 recommended. Do you think flashing a different one will help?

Do i just re-flash without deleting anything else?

New radio could help yes as the nandroid doesnt restore or backup the radio so on your old rom, you are using the new radio.

What radio was it?

I have no idea what radio i had......

Out of interest..... if just using my standard htc rom that come with the phone and this is rooted. Can i just flash an apps2SD rom instead of using a CM7 rom or similar.

I only rooted to sort oyt the issue of internal space. If i can just add apps2sd, would any of you have a link for the file.

Many thanks

You need to flash a rom such as teppic74's stock rom if you want apps2sd as the rom must meet certain criteria to support a2sd.

What radio are you on currently I meant to ask?

hi guys,

updated my wireless router software and all seems to work now. Wonder if this had anything to do with it or coincidence.

Have to wait and see if it stops working now.

Maybe just a router reboot would have done it?

On A2SD roms you have 3 broad areas to choose from :

- Stock roms with it. SURoot mentioned Teppics as a popular example
- Sense roms with extras. Like LeeDroid
- Something totally different like CM7/Redux/MIUI

There's plenty of variety, just take Nandroid backups and try some
