Root Rooted DINC wants OTA update!What to do?

I rooted my Droid Incredible several months ago using the instructions found in the sticky here. I've been very happy with the results and the phone's operation. Today I started getting system update messages from Verizon saying there's an update available (4.08.605.19). I'm perfectly happy with what I've got now and I don't want to update. I'm afraid that Verizon will eventually force the update even if I don't agree to it. I'd also like to get rid of the nagging request for me to update.
My phone is unlocked and S-Off. Here's what I got running:

Android Ver. 2.3.4
Baseband Ver. 2.15.10.12.20
Kernel Ver. 2.6.35.14 gingertiny-V2
Build No.4.08-605.2L 185897 release-keys
Software No. nschiwy-sparkplug-1.3.2
Browser Ver. WebKit/533.1

Can anyone help by giving me some advice on how to proceed? I've read that the nagging can be stopped by making some changes in the build. If anyone knows how to do that I'd appreciate your guidance. thanks!

Edit /system/build.prop. Look for "ro.build.fingerprint=", change the whole line to read this:
Code:
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon_wwe/inc/inc:2.3.4/GRJ22/539174.19:user/release-keys

Save the file, reboot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik-cache, reboot.

That was easy!! cmlusco you're the man!! Thanks for helping me out. After I figured out how to access and edit the build file I made the mod and it worked like a charm.:D

AWESOME. Both my og incredible are now nag free. A huge thank you to my heros on Android Forums.

Okay...well may I ask how you edit that file? My phone keeps rebooting constantly. This OTA is very annoying.

You need to use a root file explorer: ie: es file explorer(need to turn on root options in the settings), or root explorer. Then mount the system folder as read/writable. In the system folder, you will see a build.prop file... You need to change the correct line to match what is posted above.
