Root Rooted Epic Touch 4G open garden will not close properly

Open garden never closes successfully even if I force close all programs it appears to still be somewhat transmitting wireless because my laptop still sees the SSID (Open Garden) this is killing my battery has anyone else had a similar problem or know how to fix this?

I used the one click root method.

1. Uninstall said app and download another wifi tethering substitute
2. Install Titanium Backup to freeze said app when not in use

Thanks for the tip about titanium backup I never knew this program was out there but I just bought the pro version because it seems handy..... anyway even after freezing it STILL shows up as a available wireless network when my phone is on and this is on more then 1 laptop since I thought it might be an issue with my laptop.

Well I take it back it is a strange issue with the laptops wireless still showing the open garden in the list if you troubleshoot problems after trying to connect to it it goes away like it should so basically for some odd reason the open garden once connected to with a laptop appears to stay in the available wireless network list even after you refresh it the only way it goes away is if you run a quick reset or troubleshooting network problems with wireless connection...... ANYWAY no big deal problem solved

Mine never closed properly either. I just hit the Home screen button,

& when I reopened Open Garden again, it was normal.

I found it strange that when you reopened Open Garden, it showed the last

PC that was connected, to still be connected....lol
