hey,
i rooted my galaxy s the other day and everything was fine until i realised the wifi wouldn't work. :(
you can enter a static ip which works for two minutes but my internet on computer doesn't work when i do that.
I have rooted and unrooted and rebooted LOADS of times and looked up help but nothing has worked. It's currently unrooted but the kernel still says 2.6.9 root@SE-S602 #2

(i've also tried restoring to factory settings)

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have the same problem. I also rooted my Galaxy S, Firmware version = 2.2.1. In my case it just hangs at "Obtaining IP address...". I have not tried using a static IP address, but I understand that doesn't help (or only for two minutes). Isn't there some expert out there that knows how to solve this?:(
