I have an h866c / Ginger bread 2.3.6, I just bought with Straight Talk service.
The first thing that really annoyed me was Google play. It's like using a Lap-Top(running Windows), and having to go through Microsoft to download all software on to my computer.

So... I rooted it with Poot, Superuser and Titanium Backup, 3free Apps.
Sooo.... Now I want to avoid (maybe remove) Google control over my phone.
My questions to you, that will educate others too, are...
1, What files/apps does Google use for its control over your phone/life. And I do mean Life; with their comprehensive tracking of my location, searches, calls, contact lists, and God knows what else they use to put together in a personal profile of me(and you) - to sell($$$$$) on to others.
2, What can we accomplish with out Big brother.
3, Is it safe, to go it alone.
I hope we can have comprehensive discussions, with out acronyms - etc.. So we do not lose "Newbie's".

It worked! I now have Superuser control!!!
