Root Rooted My GalaxyS4 With Kingo, But Apps That I Have Deleted Still Remain.

Newbie
I used Kingo, because that is what Google recommend on their search site. I have Rooted the iOS, Windows Mobile, WebOS and PalmOS. But Rooting an Android device is new to me. I studied what could before I did it. But now all of the Bloat-Ware, seems like it is deleted, but all of the icons are still there and Google Plus, really wants to update them all. Is this normal? What should I have done, I'm going to be upgrading soon, so I'm not worried about Bricking my phone. Plus I have extras Unlocked GSM phones. So o don't mind being a bit risky, with what you recommend.

Kingo is a good last resort solution for a lot of Android phones, but it is just that, a last resort solution. For older Samsung phones a much better option is to use either Odin (Windows) or Heimdall (an Odin alternative for Linux and OS X). Kingo requires a user to clean up their phone post-rooting as it adds its own cruft-ware, you could have had a more 'clean' end result using a non-Kingo method.

As for your current state, how did you remove the unwanted apps? Through a Kingo interface? Your S4's Application manager? Or an app like Titanium Backup?

Well SVIM, I used an app called System App Uninstaller. It doesn't seem to be working correcly, because I still see the icons of the app's that I have deleted and Google Play wants to update them all. Is there a better app for getting rid of apps?

My post didn't seem to go through, but I am using System App Uninstaller. But it doesn't seem to be working all that well. I can still see the icons and Google Play wants to update every single one of those so-called deleted apps. Do you know of a better app for this?

I Kingoed a cheap phone, to use as a music player, and wanted to get rid of EVERYTHING that I could, and still have it function with Power Amp.
Had good results with System App Deleter, in the Play Store. It gives you the option to delete outright, or to delete and save the app if you want to reinstall it later.

Never used System App Uninstaller and looking on Google Play there are two apps using roughly similar titles, both by the same developer who is using two different names. A puzzling situation that makes me wonder what's the back story.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ljmobile.system.app&hl=en
My preference to manage my phone's apps is Titanium Backup:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackupPro&hl=en

Well if it is possibly that bad, how do I get rid of it now?

Well I made a typo...
Try Root App Deleter.

I make typos all of the time, mainly from the stupid Auto-Correct. But you can edit your post, under the "Tools" option. Just in case you didn't know. A lot of sites won't let you alter your posts, so it is pretty cool that they let us do it! Plus they save a Draft of our posts, as we are writing it. And there is no time limits for editing. I am a member of a site, that if you change anything on your profile and posts, that you have to wait 90 minutes, before you can edit again. That's pretty stupid! Do you know if this site as an app? I'm wondering off, so I will get back to the main subject. I did download those apps, but the app's didn't show the app's that I have wanted to delete. But the icons are still here. Any other suggestions from anyone here?
