rooted, now youtube keeps forceing closed

Sprint htc hero, z4rooted now when i go to youtube it goes to the vidio loading screen, then force closed. I took the battery out, went to app. CLeared catch. That wasnt it. Please help

Did you just root or install a custom Rom?

Try running Fix Permissions....

Just rooted. Im afraid to do anything, just wanted to teather and animated wallpaper. I dont how to do any thing on my phone yet. i dont know how to run fix permisons. im tech,slo. thats y i came here. could u walk me through it, i would appr. it.

Download Rom Manager - I am 99% sure it has fix permissions command.

OR Download terminal emulator from the market -
Type SU then enter.
you should see a #
Then type fix_permissions
then enter key
Let it do its thing -

Try youtube - it should work.

Tethering works great...phone gets a little hot.
Live wallpaper is a huge batt Drain and doesn't work very well on the hero.
You will need to upgrade your ROM to have a prayer of it working...

I wouldn't even bother with a livewallpaper on the Hero. I have yet to find one that works properly, or even smoothly.

Have you tried a temporary root remover app? Some websites wont allow rooted phones. with this App you can run it just before logging in and you should have no problems.

Just remember that the fix_permissions script is likely only going to be in a custom ROM, such as CyanogenMod 7. If you are just on your rooted stock ROM, then it will likely not be accessible via the Terminal Emulator app.

Your best bet is to follow the other procedure that MahaloCat mentioned. Use ROM Manager and look for the "Fix Permissions" option.
