Root Rooted Phone (unrooting a phone)

Is there a way that i can reset my phone so that verizon won't be able to tell if its rooted? will a simple factory reset do that?

A factory reset will only wipe all user data, it will not unroot the phone. Why do you need to unroot? Is it for a warranty claim? If the phone has a hardware fault, then the fact that it is rooted shouldn't matter.

well once i rooted my old phone, the 3G stopped working....so they sent me a new phone and i need to send the old one back in. i don't want to get charged 400 dollars for the new one. how can i unroot the old one?
