Root Rooted phone?

I have a phone rooted and upgraded to 2.2. It was like that when I bought.
Some programs are uninstalled in my phone. But I want them back. And there are some new programs that I don't need.
So what can I do? And how can I do that? Does a factory reset reinstall the uninstalled stock applications?

Actually I don't know. But for example, I don't have ThinkFree. One of my reasons to buy THIS one, not an X10 or another. And I think the original homepage isn't installed as well. What can I do? It is rooted, I like it to be, but I hate the programs were uninstalled.

Do I have the possibility to find the original ROM on the Internet and flash it? Will that bring back the uninstalled stock applications?
