Root Rooted the Transform. Now my PC does not recognize it?

Wanted to go to the next step to install froyo but now my laptop is not recognising my phone and I do not get any options to turn USB storage to on and create the 3 folders needed to finally install froyo.
I know the phone must be rooted since my Build Number says vampirefo.transform.
I can see my SD card through SD card and phone storage and when I connect the phone to my laptop, I hear a sound but nothing else. Please help!

Keep me posted. I will be home in about an hour. I am in the Okeefenokee Swamp right now and 3G is hit or miss.

A stupid question. After you downloaded the Samsung drivers did the pc recognize the phone or did you do something to get it to be recognized? I downloaded the SDK but still no love from my pc for the transform.

Did you mount your SD card?

I go into SD card and phone storage and the only choice I have is for Unmount SD card. I formatted the card and put it back in but no Mount SD card option.
I am no noob to this but this phone is giving me a PITA!

OK, I'm back home now. When you turn on your USB storage you unmount it from your phone. After that, if you hit the Windows key and "e" simultaneously on your computer, you will have access to your SD card. Create the proper directories and sub directories and copy the files necessary into the places they go. Make sure you have the Froyo 4 file vice the RC1 file as Froyo 4 is newer. Also, make sure you download Titanium Backup and backup your phone to your SD card. It will make it much easier when you have Froyo installed. Make sure you exit out of your PC's access to your SD card by ejecting it properly.

Man, I really appreciate all your efforts to help out. Well, I finally gave up on the SD card being recognized and installed the necessary files directly to my SD card and installed froyo that way.
I will try out your win key + e key method and let you know.

Glad it all worked out for you. Please tell me you used Titanium Backup and backed up all of your info, otherwise you are in for a long, frustrating process.
