Root Rooting 2nd Evo

I am going to root my boss's Evo tomorrow. I'm re-reading through the Rooting For Dummies thread, and I want some clarification on a couple things. I rooted my phone in February on a Windows laptop. I still have Unrevoked saved on my laptop and I never uninstalled any of the drivers that I installed when I originally rooted my phone. Can I skip steps 1 and 2 of the root process which deal specifically with these two steps?

I figure there is no point in trying to re-install Unrevoked, but the drivers are a little more tricky for me to understand. They're just installed on the PC so the PC knows how to communicate with the phone right? So shouldn't I be able to pretty much start at the beginning of Step 3?

OK so if I reboot the phone and PC should I just run unrevoked after they're finished booting? Or am I missing something. It seems like this should only take a few minutes.

Ok cool. Sounds good. It will be a pretty easy process then. I've flashed so many ROM's that it's second nature, but I only rooted the one time, so it's obviously a more unfamiliar process.

I was watching a YouTube video and the guy said the drivers get installed on the phone. I guess I'll just double check before I root.

NA no drivers go to the phone...if u have hboot on your PC already...just put his phone to debugging and put in the bootloader..and then run unrevoked
