Rooting a tablet

I've got a Visual Land Connect tablet and want to root it. This is a Android tablet but I want to update it like my EVO. Does anyone know of a place I can get instructions? I just thought this was the best place to start since I received so much help with rooting my EVO. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you talking about porting roms from the evo for your tablet?

I'm talking about just rooting my tab in general. The reason is I'm having trouble downloading apps and not able to use netflix which I believe to be an issue of an out dated OS. I figure rooting the tab and updating the OS will correct my issues.

Not sure if you figured anything out yet since this post is older but, its already rooted right out of the box. As far as custom roms, etc...that's a different story. I can't find anything out there!

I just got a kindle fire and now I'm firmly entrenched in that. Way harder to root than the evo.

My Nook Color took some time to root.

My Toshiba Thrive has essentially one click root and took about 5 minutes.

I have a Visual Land Prestige 10 and have been trying to root for days and finally i came across this video on youtube and in less then 2 min i was FULLY rooted, plus its very simple anyway , if u don't still have your tablet maybe this post will help someone else who purchased it.
