Root Rooting and Warranty - Galaxy Ace

I have few queries about the hardware warranty and rooting of Galaxy Ace.

1) Will rooting the phone void the warranty?
2) Will installing custom ROMs void the warranty?

I asked about it in some Samsung retails shops in my place. I got different opinions. People in some shop does not know what is rooting.

Generally speaking, yes rooting and installing a custom ROM will void the warranty. However, I'm not sure what the deal is with Samsung handsets, but for most manufacturers, there are ways and means of unrooting and putting the stock software back on the handset.
