Rooting android tv - can you help?

Hi guys, I know this will have been answered many times, but I am unsure as to which files are need for my specific device, and I don't want to brick it.

I have an: Android TV box MXIII 4K with android 4.4.2 and It came rooted I think, but as it kept freezing I did a factory reset, and now I can install the programs I had on it before, and I'm assuming I need to root it again.

I would be really grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction? I have rooted other devices in the past such as my Vega tablet, so I have 'basic' proficiency

How do you know your TV no longer rooted after factory reset?

Have you tried installing SuperSU?

Ah brilliant! It says it is rooted!
