Rooting Arnova

Hi all. Noob to this forum.
Heres my problem.
Been trying to root this device for 4 days.
ANDROID LINUX 2.3.1
MOD -AN10BG2
KERNAL 2.6.32.27

Ive read it cant be rooted.. Ive read it can:confused
Before i go any further i must tell you that i only use wifi which is my neighbours.(allowed me access). Can i root thru his wifi ?.
Ive tried Z4, easyroot, uni androot,gingerbreak etc. What i cant use is super1click,have no

Desktop. Ive read it can be done thru device but just cant get it. Done all the usuall .....usb debug. Formatted sd card. Reboot after every attempt. Any advice please. If so keep it in noob language please
