Fist post here. Hi all!
My first adventure, more like a nightmare, into the world of rooting and flashing left my phone without call audio and it took me 6 hours following various guides to get it back to stock so I could take it back. It wouldn't flash back, then it wouldn't unroot, and then it would stick on the bootscreen. Asking on the XDA forums just got me the ban hammer for asking questions that already have been answered (though I searched for about an hour or two on their forums trying to find a guide to help me...). After I got it to stock without call audio I took it into the AT&T store and they warranty replaced it.
Anyways: I wanted to try again 6 months later as the ICS software has more bugs and performance problems than I can count, even after a factory reset. I have been reading up on how to root/flash the AT&T GS2 but all of the guides are old. So I came here hoping you guys can point me out to some beginner friendly guides for:
1.) Rooting
2.) Getting the Siyah Kernal
2.) Getting ClockWork Mod
3.) Flashing the AOKP ROM-Pretty sure I know how to do this once I get everything else worked out
I have found different guides that explain how to do each one of these, but I am not sure if this is even possible and if the guides are compatible-or they are old and I am not sure if they work with ICS.
