Root Rooting for Angry Birds

I've wanted to root the Epic since we got it but the wife (her phone) said NO! Now that 2.2 is out, it's time to re flash. I told her that she would loose her progress in Angry Birds but if I rooted the phone, I could back it up. Root away she said. Why didn't I think of this before? Now I can't wait for all the new 2.2 based roms that I can play with that are <ahem> "necessary for the proper function of Angry Birds". I love new toys....

Lol, I had to finish Angry Birds before I would update to a Froyo leak! Now that stupid Angry Birds Seasons.

I personally, usually don't back up data when flashing a ROM, but I can definitely see the advantages!
