Sorry if i am asking questions that have already been asked but I am a complete newbie when it comes to this. I've always had android but never paid much attention to rooting. I have a Galaxy s3 from Virgin Mobile and i updated to 4.3 so it does have Knox. The main reason I am looking to root is for wifi tethering and maybe fixing the bad battery drain and I am tired of waiting for VM to enable wifi tethering. Is there any special way to go about rooting since the wifi tether option is blocked? Or can i just root normal? Do i need to flash a custom rom or recovery or anything? And if i happen to mess up, do i need to unroot before sending the phone in for a replacement? Again I apologize but I am just trying to be cautious and not brick my phone.
