Root Rooting Galaxy tab s without pc

Hello,
Yesterday I just bought a Samsung galaxy tab s with an Android 4.4.2 OS. I was told it's like one of the newest tablets
Samsung has available. I've been trying to use various root kit apk's but they all fail as if none of them were created to operated on my tab s because it might be to new. Is this the case or am I just simply not downloading the proper software?

I believe TowelRoot would be the most likely apk type root. I know you said you'd already tried some apk options but wasn't sure if that were one of them. If that doesn't work, I'm guessing you're out of luck on the apk method.
