Root Rooting Guide

Hi all,

I think i speak for a lot of other people on this forum when i say it would be great to see a step by step guide to rooting. i see this request come up quite often... It would be great to see links for required files etc... I know I could also use the info. How have people been rooting their phones, what custom rom's people use etc...

This forum has helped me so much in terms of learning my new galaxy s...

I find the XDA developers forums goes pretty in depth in all this related to this. Found a really good guide, including all links to needed software. I just did this on my I9000m and it worked great!

use titanium backup to uninstall unwaned applications (make sure they are safe to remove )

Urm. Which bit of the word "vibrant" do you not understand? This is a galaxy S forum. Flashing a vibrant rom on a galaxy S would most certainly brick it.
