Rooting HTC Sensation

Hi all. I recently got an android phone (Sensation) and im always reading about people rooting their phone and so on. Though i have noticed that they do this to get more out of their phone.

Really, im very happy with mine. I would just consider to root it to get rid of the default apps, and maybe increase battery life (if ever possible). As a phone its fast and i have nothing to complain about.

Therefore, i wanted to ask pros on android for their opinion. Is it worth to root the sensation just for my reasons above? Also, i love the HTC Sense of it. if i actually root it, will i still have the HTC Sense on it?

Welcome to the forums!

When you root, it's like getting Admin access on your PC. Nothing, including Sense, need change unless you take steps to change it.

I root my phones and enjoy better performance and battery life because it gives me full configuration control of my apps.

Rooting varies by make and model - there are subtle differences between the US and European models. Please tell me which you have and I'll move this thread to the specific forum you need.
