Rooting HTC Sensation

Hi There, Only had my HTC Sensation about three weeks and I would like to root it but I'm frightened of bricking it. I want to get rid of the Orange flash screen and all the crap that comes with it. I could do with an idiot free guide to doing it. Any help appreciated. :)
