Hello, this post may be irrelevant given the current phone and its condition, however, I recently dug up my old LG Spectrum 2 (Version 4.1.2; Software Version VS93022A) and became interested in the idea of rooting this device, since I have a new phone I do not care so much as to what happens to this one.
Spending time looking at various forums, I attempted many ways to root this device. However, almost all posts about this device were created and working about four years ago (so I'm not sure if that time frame affects why I cannot root). I have downloaded all of the Android APK nonsense and successfully connected the device via ADB. The problem which I believed I identified concerns a proper root download... As in the files downloaded from the old posts mentioned earlier appeared to have "Successfully Rooted!" my phone. Upon further investigation, none of these downloads successfully rooted the phone.
Any ideas? Or is it possible that the LG Spectrum 2 is too out of date/has a software unable to be rooted?
