rooting my bionic

Hi I have been thinking about rooting my phone to have access to some apps on the market. I am okay when it comes to working with computers and I just need to know where to go and what is the best program to use to root my phone. I have the motorola droid and I was going to try rooting this phone 1st because if I brick it I will not be upset. Please advise.

Yes. I do have access to the market but I would like to use the barnacle wifi tether app
