Root Rooting not working

hey guys i have tried rooting my lg optimus t i just received it from tmobile about 2 days ago , and i tried using the z4root but that is not working i also found a way to root it using the adb in cmd but that does not work either anyone can help that would be great thanks. i am just trying to get rid of the unwanted apps
