Help Rooting problem with POOT.APK

I have been attempting to root my phone today. I downloaded the poot.apk, then ministro II. Poot added libraries and came up to the white screen that says push here to poot. I did and got an error message as follows---(2012 giantpune [-]can't get a handle on it.-1 Permission denied A demon materialized while pooting. Error code 18 su binary not written.)

What could be the problem? I'm running 4.4 by the way. Thanks to all the reply's in advance.
