Apologies, there are plenty of other rooting/ROM threads about, but I don't want to hijack another thread.
Given this link contains the easiest to follow step by step instructions, I'm going to do this on my Mrs phone next week. She doesn't want anything fancy so is there anything wrong with the ROM they use there?
I've had a look at the modaco one here, but there seems a lot of info there and because I've never done this before, it seems quite daunting.
I'm fairly IT literate but it's the first time I've done something like this and I don't want to deviate too far away from the instructions by going for a different ROM.
I see from the comments that there are some issue with Market apps etc, but is this because you have to access the market over 3G first (I'm sure I read that somewhere)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
