Root Rooting the Indulge for Noobs?

Hi. I'm new to the forum but, I've been following what you guys have been doing here in the way of rooting, removing bloatware, and trying to tether. I am somewhat new to Android on my Indulge. I like to think that I am "computer savvy" as the elderly put it, but I got lost on your thread on how you rooted the phone.

I am trying not to step on anyones' toes or break and forum rules by posting here, but I need some help.

I was wondering if anyone could post a step by step instruction on how to root the phone. I know MikeToolz has a detailed instruction on how to remove the bloatware, but something like that on how to root the phone would be amazing.

Can anyone help out this poor noob?
 
Mike has combined the root into the bloatware removal. It is the same process, follow the instructions there. He also has pointed out how to do the bloatware removal ONLY by removing some of his code. I think the question about that is in the other thread. But step by step instructions are right the in the bloatware removal thread.

But true root isn't quite there as you'll see if you study those two threads.
Mike has worked pretty hard on it and deserves all our thanks.

Quick clarification: He combined the root with the bloatware removal? So his bloatware removal instructions and root instructions are one in the same?

correct.

at the end of running the script it will ask if you want to give all apps root access. That is where you can choose to have semi full root or not.
