Root rooting to fix gps

Was wondering if rooting the F7 fixes the gps issue. Also, there has been talk about upgrading the os, if you are rooted can you get the upgrade? Thanks.

I haven't heard of any fix to the GPS problem that has turned out to be real. Please correct me if you have demonstrated otherwise, and tell us how.

The bad GPS is caused by hardware as far as I know.

I have not heard of anyone having the GPS problem truly fixed by sending it in for repair. If you sent one in and it came back fixed with GPS working well for as long as, say, two months, please let us know.

I haven`t sent it in to be fixed, my problem with gps is that it keeps dropping the signal. It takes about a minute or so to lock on, then after about ten minutes it drops the signal, and about another minute or so it locks back on, then drops again. Some times it works fine then it starts to act up again. So I was wondering if rooting would help.
