Root Rooting tricks never work

When I first bought my phone the one thing I wanted rid of more than anything was vice talk. Back in the gingerbread days there was no way to disable it except by rooting. I have Jellybean 4.12 now so Voice Talk has been silenced.

Anyway I have, over the last year, attempted to use Odin, one click, and z4root.

Odin always claimed success, even if the phone is not plugged in to the PC. I given up on that after downloading the same file over and over (just renamed to look like a later version). I have not tried again.

The last I tried was z4root 1.3. It just hangs. I have tried to locate z4root 3.0, but it is no place to be found. Every site ha claims to have it is a farce. The file size and md5 are exactly the same as Version 1.3 (only the file is renamed). Have you a link to the real z4root 3.0 that is legit?

Anyway, I have installed several root checkers. Some say I have root, others say I do not. Either way, I still cannot remove unwanted system apps because the removal tools say I do not have root.

The best root and unrooting tool is Framaroot. You can find it on xda developers.

Rooted and unrooted my n7000 using jellybean.

hope this helps

Freakin Geek Genius!

Version 1.6 worked like a charm, and fast! :D

I deleted a bunch of junk.

Love it. Can you suggest a good "clocker"?

Look out Galaxy S Duos. You are next to be rooted! ;)

Thank you
