Root Rooting when already on 2.2??

Yes, the unrevoked method will work on Desire when running 2.2.

Before rooting you need to read, read again and then re-read the FAQ several times so you know exactly what your doing.

thankyou,ive tried b4 but unrevoked wudnt recognise my phone,main reason for root is im having storage problems

When you tried rooting did you have USB Debugging switched on?
