Root Rooting Xoom with 4.0.3 questions.

Hello all,

I picked up a Xoom recently and have found that a PS3 contoller can be used to play emulators with this tab. While I love my tab the way it is I simply must find a way to get that working. The program (sixaxis controller) says that I have to be rooted, so I'm looking into that.

I have some experience with this, in the earlier days of android I was more into rooting, but things have changed a good bit in that time so I'm a little lost. I'm hoping someone here wont mind helping me out a bit here.

I have found intructions on the internet to get this done, but they seem to assume I know more then I do about this deal. Most of the step by steps I see say to enter something into a command line that I can't seem to get to and entering that command line on the PC side surely wont do anything. If there is an up to date link to some nice instructions I would be forever thankful for the link.

Also, the reason I got out of this on the phone side was updates to the phone recked the root. I had a Milestone X and when they rolled out 2.3 for that phone it updated automatically, unrooted my phone, and super user is still there and not working so rooting this thing again looks to be harder now for it (I haven't tried in a while so I can't really say). Will I be running into these problems if I root my Xoom?

Again, hooking my PS3 controllers up to the Xoom through BlueTooth is the only reason I'm doing this. I have no desire for custom roms and all that, though in time I might want to get into this deeper, I'm just looking to extend the function of my device to this one area.

Thank you for your time.
