Lol with that said rooting means in simple term unlocking your phone from restricted policies. In terms of permission base structure root uID:0 via switch user aka su. It goes beyond that depending on the severity of your methods as you can unclock radio thus allowing you to simunclock the device, modify the bootloader so you can flash custom rom, radio, and other things.
