just to tell android people if you are thinking of using googles new movie rental service do not root as you will not be able to use it due to copyright restrictions
as with all apps, im sure xda will have a fix within weeks of it coming out. id rather be rooted than lose something that i probably wont use. i have netflix and it works for my phone, yay, i dont use it.
It definitely is due to copyright restrictions.
I'm sure the studios told them that they couldn't allow it on rooted devices because there is the potential of "ripping" the movie... although I don't think I'd want to do that on my phone.. It'd probably end up melting the darn thing.
On a stock phone google can prevent this from happening, on a rooted phone, not so much.
