Rooting?

I've read a little on rooting and I'm considering it. However, I'd like to know how to do it, what does rooting allow me to do to my phone, and what are the cons? Does rooting void warranty? Thanks in advance for the help. -DK

Okay did some research (should have done first). Now my only question is, does rooting void warranty?

Yes, rooting does void your warranty but there are ways to easily remove a?? traces of root n yor phone so Verizon would never know.

The warranty is voided as long as the device is Rooted. When you rid any evidence of Root on your phone, the warranty is back in place =]..just shh... and un-root correctly IF you ever need to ex. Take it in for replacement or maintance.
