Root Rooting

I know one answer here would be to go get a more popular phone and there would be more information on how to get the phone rooted, but the money tree does not have any leaves on that this time, so a different phone is not the answer. I am tired and have been on so much "junk" on my phone that some time ago I (unfortunately) paid for information on how to root my phone. To keep the post short, it did not work. Never tried because the information was so "scattered" around that most of it was missing or did not exist. No refunds, so I got scammed.
So question would be is there anyone or any place that can root my phone and not charge an arm and a leg or rob any information on my phone?
