Howdy!
My husband and I both own smart phones. To save contacts on our phones, we have used the gmail option (not phone).
Does this mean then, that every time we scroll through our contact list looking for someone, we are using the internet (ie. gmail)?
Kind regards,
Rosemary:)

Hello RosemaryJ. Welcome to Android Forums. If you chose gmail for your contacts then all of your contacts will be backed up on your gmail account.. that's all. The contacts will reside on your phone so don't fret about using the internet to search for a contact. If you had chosen the phone only option, your contacts would not be backed up with your gmail account. Thanks for joining these forums. I hope you enjoy your time here.
