Apologies if this also appears in Guest Threads. I have since registered.

The BBC weather app (UK) appears in portrait format on my android tablet. That is not a problem but then all other screens are stuck in portrait until I reboot the tablet. Is there a workaround please?

I guess you could try stopping the app - Settings .. Apps tap the app then hit the Force Stop button (based on vanilla android - YMMV). You may then need to re-enable rotate. That might work, though I wouldn't bet on it.

Your best bet is to report the problem to the Beeb and have them fix the bug. In the meantime, use a different weather app The Met Office do a nice one.

Or you could try Foreca weather app in the mean time.

i moved this conversation to the android lounge.

you can also clear cache for the app. maybe even try and uninstall and re-install it maybe.
