Help Rotate on password protected screen

Hello,

When my phone is rotated horizontally, and the screen goes into password lock, I'm obligated to type in my password vertically. Is this by design?

I think this is just a bug. The phone wakes up back in the mode it was last left in prior to locking - which is landscape in your case. Since it can't change the rotation while locked, you have to enter your password while in landscape mode!
