Rotating screen from portrait to landscape takes too long

Has anyone noticed the lag when you auto rotate the screen? Mines sometimes takes 5 seconds or longer to auto-rotate. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing this problem as well? Is there a way to fix how long it takes to auto-rotate?

If it really is anything more than 2 seconds, that seems excessive alright.

Samsung has addressed the "accidental" rotation that can happen when just handling the device, picking it up or setting it down, by providing a delay so that the "instant" rotation effect is not there.

I'm wondering if those adjustments they've made are appearing too long and basically as a bug from one GNex to another.

I posted about this in another thread but apparently this was done on purpose by Google to prevent the "accidental" rotation as Frisco said

yea i agree, it is nice to not have it be to touchy but the delay on the galaxy nexus is a little on the high side.
